Hey Reader, This was a massive week in AI with two of the biggest players in OpenAI and Anthropic deciding it was time to end the "AI cold war" and engage in straight-up fisticuffs. We'll break down the unfolding battle between OpenAI and Anthropic in our News That Matters section, plus we'll show you how to use the new Interactive Responses in Claude, share a short tutorial video on one of Gemini's best features, and more. Let's get right into it... 🪄 App of the Week: Claude Interactive Responses Use Case: Visual, Interactive Responses Link: Claude (Free, Not Sponsored!) Why you should care: This update is available to all Claude users (even those on the free plan!) and currently it's capable of creating:
These interactive features will show up organically while you're using Claude. For example, if you want to use the recipe widget, you can simply send a prompt like "show me cooking instructions for an apple pie" and Claude will display your recipe in the new interactive widget. So go check out Claude and test out these new features! 📰 News That Matters: OpenAI & Anthropic Take the Gloves Off Why it matters: On February 5th, both companies threw their opening punches: Anthropic rolled out Claude Opus 4.6, boasting sharper reasoning, stronger coding, and a beta 1 million-token context window, while OpenAI counter-launched GPT-5.3-Codex, a 25 percent-faster “agentic coding” upgrade that blends GPT-5.2’s brains with new tool-using muscle. Four days later, OpenAI flipped the controversial monetization switch, quietly testing ads inside ChatGPT for U.S. Free and Go users and reassuring everyone that higher-tier plans stay ad-free and ads won’t touch model answers. Anthropic responded during the Super Bowl with a cheeky 30-second commercial ending on the line, “Ads are coming to AI. But not to Claude,” skewering its rival’s new business model on national TV. OpenAI CEO Sam Altman shot back on X, calling the spot “funny” but “clearly dishonest” and clarifying exactly how ads in ChatGPT will work. Hours later, OpenAI’s account-wide privacy-policy email doubled down:
The actions of OpenAI and Anthropic over the past week have drawn a clear line in the sand: ads in AI on one side, and the promise of ad-free AI on the other. By the end of 2026, we may have ourselves a victor. And you aren't a bystander here, you're an active participant in this battle! Vote with your wallet. If you don't mind OpenAI's approach to ads in AI, by all means, keep using their products and services. But if it rubs you the wrong way, it may be time to consider switching to Claude. 📝 Prompt of the Week: Quick Custom Meeting Agendas Prompt Formula: Quick Description: How to Use:

In her post, Suzanne shared a 5-step walkthrough (complete with tools like Grok, Kling AI, and Freepik) and debuted her own creation: an animated German Shepherd dancing in an alleyway. The post quickly took off, with dozens of members jumping in to try it themselves. From dancing Huskies and cats to a Michael Jackson-inspired video starring someone’s toddler, the replies were full of creativity, inspiration, and support.
